Russia blocks access to Instagram since early Monday
MOSCOW, Mar 14 (PRIME) -- Access to Instagram has been restricted in Russia from 12 a.m. Moscow time on Monday, the communications service said.
The regulator cut access to the social network upon the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office due to calls to violence against Russians.
The watchdog said it will complete the procedure of restriction of access to Instagram on the territory of the country on Monday at 12 a.m.
Meta Platfroms, the owner of Instagram and Facebook, lifted earlier a prohibition to post calls to violence against the Russian military, not the civilians, temporarily. The company said it will apply this policy in Ukraine only.
